B.A.P’s DaeHyun teams up with Suzy and Min for Music Core

Music Core‘s special MC trio has been getting the popular search on the portal sites. On November 10, MBC‘s Show! Music Core was aired, but due to Girls’ Generations TaeYeon, Tiffany, Seoyeon having out-of-country schedules, they left the empty MC seats for B.A.P‘s DaeHyun, Miss A‘s Suzy and Min as special MCs for the day.

Widely known as ‘Busan’s Wonbin’ B.A.P’s main vocalist DaeHyun carried the MC spot very well even though it was his first time. Matching his rhythm with Suzy and Min, they did their job neatly and the producing team was very surprised at the way they handled the MC spot. DaeHyun received a lot of favorable comments for his acting skills in between the introductions of the songs for each performance. He seemed relaxed and free even though it was a live recording. Because of his strong leading ability, he was dubbed 1st as ‘Music Core special MC’ on many portal sites.

B.A.P is getting attention as not only DaeHyun did a good job for handling the MC position for Music Core, but Himchan also had an MC spot for the ‘College Entrance Exam concert’. Many people are beginning to acknowledge B.A.P members and taking careful notes of their activities on stage and off stage as well.

TaeTiSeo wins M!Countdown for a third week in a row! Congratulations to the girls. With today’s win, they look to also sweep all the music show wins for a third week.

The runners up were on the show today was Infinite followed by SISTAR.

G.NA made her comeback today with her title track “2HOT” while new JYP duo JJ Project performed their debut track “Bounce.” New boy group VIXX also made their debut performance today.

B.A.P Becomes Cover Models for Taiwanese Magazine

After just four months since their debut, the members of B.A.P are riding the Hallyu Wave as they made the cover of Taiwan's largest Korean pop-culture magazine, "Trendy."

The magazine might be Taiwan's biggest Hallyu magazine, though that's not all. "Trendy" takes up 70% of all magazine sales on the market making it the second most popular magazine in all of Taiwan.

Currently, B.A.P has just two single albums under their belt (and two great ones at that). The Best, Absolute, Perfect boys keep proving their greatness with each release and performance. This latest achievement puts B.A.P with the likes of K-Pop legends such as BIGBANG, CN Blue, and Shinhwa who previously graced the magazine's cover.

A representative for the magazine further acknowledged the group's accomplishment by saying, "This marks the first time a Korean idol has made the cover without visiting Taiwan or having made their debut in Taiwan through a drama or anything of that sort."

Along with being the cover model's for the May issue, a ten-page feature is include which focuses on the members and group as a whole.

With B.A.P's "Trendy" appearance a rise in recognition and popularity abroad is said to be expected, since the magazine is exported to other regions such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Congratulations to B.A.P who as rookies continue to influence many at home as well as internationally!

SBS Inkigayo Performances 05.20.12

TaeTiSeo takes the win on Inkigayo and sweeps the music show wins for a second week in a row! Congratualtions to the girls.

Making comeback performances today were Dalmatian, Infinite, Baek Ji Young and JYP. GangKiz also made their Inkigayo debut performance today. EXO-K and EXO-M came together today for a speical joint performance of "MAMA."

B.A.P Reveals "Take #2" BTS Video for "Power"

B.A.P released another behind the scenes video of their music video for "Power" today on their official YouTube channel. Titled "Take #2," it continues with their filming of indoor scenes.  

They released their "Take #1" behind the scenes video last week. Before that, they released "POWER M/V Making Film (in Songdo)."

B.A.P released their music video for "Power" on April 26 and are now entering their fourth week of promotions for the song.

Girl’s Generation sub-unit TaeTiSeo and their “Twinkle” managed to snag Song of the Week for the second week in a row tonight, beating SISTAR and “Superstar K3″ winner Ulala Session.

One of the most anticipated comebacks for the night was Infinite‘s with their latest title track “The Chaser,” but that wasn’t the night’s only big comeback as Dalmatian also took the stage with their new single “E.R.” Big names like Baek Ji Young and J.Y Park was also among the comebacks. Junhyung from B2ST shared a sexy stage with Baek Ji Young, while Ga-In from Brown Eyed Girls was as stunning as ever singing her duet with J.Y.P

B.A.P.’s Zelo Wants to Stop Growing

B.A.P.'S maknae Zelo is attracting attention for a comment he made during a Japanese interview. On the most recent edition of Senkai Sports' weekly hallyu magazine, Zelo was quoted, "I wish I would stop growing," surprising netizens.  At the time his official profile was created, he was 182 cm (5'11.7")tall. However, Zelo revealed that he's still growing and that he's 183 cm (6'0.5") now. At only 15, it's highly likely that he will continue to grow. 

Zelo continued, "Doctors have told me that my growth plates are still open. Honestly, I'm actually a little excited [to be growing] because I'll be able to express myself more if I'm taller."

Netizens commented, "Sigh, I wish I could worry about growing," "Zelo should add his name to the 'celebs who made thoughtless remarks' list, with that comment, lol," "He's so tall," and more. Meanwhile, B.A.P. is busy promoting "Power."

Battle of the Mascots: B.A.P’s Matto vs. VIXX’s Robot

New idol group VIXX is likely to go head to head with B.A.P in the battle of the mascots. On May 16, VIXX revealed a teaser video of their debut album “Super Hero.” In this teaser video, a robot face is used as a symbol for VIXX. As a result, they instantly started to be compared with B.A.P, as B.A.P uses a masked rabbit (aka matto) wearing a mask as their mascot.  

B.A.P’s matto symbolizes the members, who come from a castle where rabbits live. B.A.P’s fans adore this symbol. The boys of B.A.P. have previousy stated that there was a secret meaning behind matto on Soompi’s exclusive interview. Check it out here!

VIXX’s agency Jelly Fish Entertainment avoided any questions regarding their robot mascot and its resemblance to B.A.P’s Matto. They only commented, “We do not even have a name for the robot, yet.” 

VIXX will debut on May 25. The members, Leo, Ken, Ravi, N, Hong Bin, and Hyuk were previously introduced on Mnet reality program “Mydol.” They are garnering much attention from the public even before their debut, as VIXX is the first idol group produced by Jelly Fish Entertainment, known as the home of famous vocalists like Sung Si Kyung, Park Hyo Shin, Brian, and Seo In Gook.
